  2. Fitting style 4 Star Review

Im 6ft 170lb. athletic and fit. I got a size 42. It fits good. but its made more for a person that has a gut, and not for a person skinny or fit. If your in shape go with Teknic Gear. they are great for skinny to fit guys. If you dont have a 6pack or not skiiny. this is a great jacket. Id return mine but I got some marks on it so cant. Im selling it on Ebay instead.

  3. awesome product. 5 Star Review

This is my first jacket for my first bike. I am a small rider (5.5' 125lbs) and wanted to get best bang for buck for my 09 600rr. I purchased the 36 and it fits like a glove. I've been shopping around for a few months looking for the best jacket and this is hands down the best I've seen for the money. The only comparable jackets would be dainese and AStars but for the same features that this jacket offers your looking at an extra 2-300$. I love the removable wind stop liner. Most higher end jackets seem to remove this feature. The jacket is really quite beautiful. The pictures really do not do it justice. The matching gauntlet gloves are amazing too. This company is great, hands down. I am more than happy with my purchase and its nice to be different riding is RS Taichi while everyone else follows Astars you feel a certain status with RS. Always getting compliments on the gear.

  4. Meet the new boss, similar to the old boss. 5 Star Review

After five seasons with the predecessor (red/black/white) Taichi GMX jacket and pants the new model (in basic black) is a welcome blend of improved fit for us bigger Americans and also, features some practical changes.

The biggest improvement is in the main zipper. The larger metal tab and tab cover are both welcome changes. The amount of Velcro on the engagement side of the tab cover may or may not be enough when this gets really old, though.

The little touches such as the silkscreening on the Keprotec sleeves and upper arms, logo bits here and there, all create a high quality look. The T-Air shoulder sliders haven't changed in years and are the same as the previous model. They are VERY bright on the black model, but in a good way. They really set off the rest of the ensemble.

Silkscreening replaces the previous two-layer stitched logos on the forearms. It's not quite as "rich looking" but it's practical and will probably be better for the underlying leather in a get-off. Less holes from stitching should mean greater strength.

Airflow is excellent as with the previous model. There seems to be a bit more air coming down the back which is welcome.

The laser-etched Taichi logo across the bottom back panel and neck opening is low-key and even more so after application of a conditioner.

The leather quality itself seems even better then the previous model.

The waist zipper, cuff zippers and pocket zippers are all high quality and pretty much similar to the predecessor. The side pockets are considerably taller and more practical for access with gloves on.

The addition of the CPS (Chest Protection System) is welcome, the thin honeycomb protector (available separately) works well. The fact that it's removable is a nice touch as well.

The arm protection and shoulder protection along with good quality Knox back protector are all similar to the previous model- excellent.

The metal snap replacement for the previous waist adjuster Velcro decreases some adjustment range but, in my case, I don't require any waist adjustment- it is spot on with the matching pants.

The only thing I slightly miss is the left chest pocket has been deleted, obviously due to the CPS system and/or cost savings. I was used to keeping my iPhone in there but frankly it's not the best location in terms of a crash. The internal pockets (both on the removable wind liner and in the jacket liner itself) are a better place for such an object, as their location keeps the phone off your ribs.

As mentioned there are improvements to the fit which are obvious when wearing but a little hard to describe. Definitely roomier (direct comparison of E58 to E58) but presents a slimmer appearance and more comfort without compromising "mission critical" fit in the protection system.

I dread the first dead bugs, this thing is really nice in appearance. ;)

  5. This jacket is topnotch! 5 Star Review

RS Taichi is definitely right up the ranks of Dainese and Alpinestars. Although not as agressively advertised as these 2 European brands, its quality and styling is what you would expect from a high end motorcycling gear company.

  6. Phenomenal Jacket 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Dec 2011

I ordered this jacket being a small rider I am only 5'4.5 or 5'5 and 120lbs ordered the 36/46 fitment is great when you snug up the sides. This is just a tremendous jacket right down to the stitching you really cannot appreciate it until you see it in person. This was my first jacket i got for riding my cbr600rr, the leather almost conforms to your body. I got the white/red and this is a head-turner. You will feel completely protected when you put this on this is bar none the best jacket out there and Taichimoto has an excellent staff if you ever need anything.

  7. BEST JACKET EVER !!!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Nov 2011

I must say the jacket is the best I have ever owned, not only is it super comfortable but it has very good ventilation, best in any leather jacket i ever worn or owned. When riding with it it doesnt feel like your even wearing a jacket. it moves that well.
